Women United

BRINGING WOMEN TOGETHER TO BUILD A STRONGER COMMUNITY

At Women United, our mission is harness the power of women leaders to support the efforts of the United Way of Suwannee Valley. Women United will advance the common good through community impact initiatives.

Women United is a group of great women from business and community leaders that want to touch the lives of those who live around us. United Way’s Women United was created as a way to engage, empower and educate local women interested in strengthening their community through philanthropy, volunteering, advocacy and leadership.

Women United will leverage the collective power of women in supporting the United Way of Suwannee Valley’s early literacy initiative as their signature issue. The early literacy initiative is seeking to impact and enable more children to enter first grade prepared to read, and helping keep them reading and learning on grade level.

There are meetings throughout the year and events planned such as lunch and learns and a book drive. There are no requirements for membership other than being a challenger or being sponsored by a challenger which means that you can attend any of the meetings or events if your schedule permits.
